At S2, our fabrication shop is as reliable as the people behind it. While tools and technology play a role, it’s the skill, care, and teamwork of our crew that sets us apart. Every successful project begins with people who take pride in doing the job right.
In this post, we invite you behind the scenes. You’ll get to know the team that brings steel to life at S2.
Experience That Guides the Work
Jeff Crump has over 34 years in the steel industry. He started in the trades and worked his way into leadership. Today, he’s the General Manager of S2 Metal Fabricators.
Jeff ensures every job runs on time and to standard. His deep knowledge of steel helps the team solve problems before they start. He leads with a simple approach: stay focused, avoid shortcuts, and work as a team.
“We don’t ship anything we wouldn’t be proud to sign our name to,” Jeff says. That mindset shapes everything we do.
Meet the People Behind the Projects
Josh Gervais, Project Manager: Josh manages each job from start to finish. As each project progresses, he works closely with clients, keeps communication clear, and ensures every phase stays on track. As a result, clients know they can count on him, every step of the way.
Ryan Judd, Sales and Account Manager: Ryan is often the first point of contact for new clients. From the initial conversation onward, he works hard to understand project needs, build strong relationships, and provide fast, accurate information. In addition, his support continues throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Welders and Fabricators: Our welders are certified under CWB Division 2. Because they focus on both accuracy and safety, they ensure all steel structures are fabricated to spec. Therefore, projects are completed correctly the first time, without rework or delays.
Fabrication Technicians: These skilled team members operate advanced tools like CNC plasma tables and robotic beam lines. As they read blueprints, cut materials, and build custom components, they combine speed with precision to support efficient fabrication.
Support Staff and Apprentices: Support staff handle material flow, logistics, and essential documentation. Meanwhile, apprentices learn directly from seasoned team members. Over time, they gain hands-on skills and contribute meaningfully to each job.
Why Our Fabrication Shop Runs Smoothly
Our Chelmsford facility covers 16,000 square feet. It includes high-end machines, heavy lifting equipment, and automation. However, great equipment only matters if you have the right people behind it.
That’s why we invest in training and mentoring. Every team member is part of our commitment to safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Why Our Team Makes the Difference
At S2, we know clients choose fabricators based on trust. While price and equipment matter, the real difference comes from the people doing the work.
Our team brings skill, focus, and accountability to every job. Whether you need support on a mine site, in an industrial facility, or for a smaller custom build, we’re ready to deliver.
Come see how we work. Meet the people behind our reputation. You’ll understand why S2 is trusted across Ontario.
